CIVIL LAW 

Civil law in the Philippines is primarily codified and deals with private rights, obligations, and legal relationships between individuals.  The primary legal framework for civil law is the Civil Code of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 386), which was enacted in 1949 and is heavily influenced by Spanish and American legal traditions.
